Glas Wiesbauer produziert Verbundsicherheitsglas mit EVA Folien und realisiert damit kundenspezifische Anforderungen und Serien. Nahezu grenzenlos ist das Spekturm bei der Geometrie der Gläser, dem Aufbau des Glases mit z.B. eingelegten Strukturen, Motiven und Materialien bis hin zu speziellen Gläsern im Bereich des Strahlenschutz, etc. Beim Verbundsicherheitsglas von Glas Wiesbauer handelt es sich um Glas mit sehr hoher Sicherheitseigenschaft. Eine enorm strapazierfähige EVA-Folie (Ethylenvinylacetat-Folie) verbindet die Glasscheiben. Unter der kontrollierten Einwirkung von Hitze und Druck wird ein dauerhafter Verbund von Glas und Folie geschaffen. Die daraus resultierende Resttragfähigkeit von VSG sorgt bei Teilzerstörung für die gewisse Schutzwirkung, z.B. vor herabfallenden Scherben. Ein gängiges Beispiel für VSG sind Windschutzscheiben von Kraftfahrzeugen, Überkopfverglasungen, Brüstungen, etc. Die Folie erschwert ein gewaltsames Durchdringen und findet somit u.a. Einsatz im Einbruchschutz. VSG hat zudem eine schall- und schussdämmende Wirkung. Je dicker die Folien-Glaskombination ist, desto stärker dämpft sie Würfe, Schüsse oder auch Druckwellen. Verbundsicherheitsglas bindet im Falle eines Bruches die Splitter und sorgt dadurch für eine erhebliche Minderung der Verletzungsgefahr. Glas Wiesbauer ist kompetenter Partner beim Laminieren gebogener Gläser.
